I get so frustrated and angry when I read about the things 47 has done, yet his supporters refuse to see the situation clearly. In fact, they defend his actions to the point of name-calling, even when the facts and evidence are right in front of them.
For example, 47 fired a dozen or so IGs back in January – primarily those that had oversight into his shenanigans. If he’s supposed to be this big GOAT, why did he have to do it in the middle of the night? Why couldn’t he fire the staff out in broad daylight, conforming to the proper procedures of 30 days’ notice to Congress and documenting an actual REASON for firing them?
Because he knew what he was doing was wrong! Because he knew he was taking advantage of his position and power to create a situation where he would have even greater control. So he hid his actions because he’d be stopped if anyone else found out.
But no one knew until it was too late. And even now, the news is long gone from the cycle. What gatekeeping devices have been removed, and what ethical guidelines have been erased now that 47 has complete control of the government? He already had a ‘get out of jail free’ card, now what does he have? I can’t even guess – it’s too horrifying.
There will be some people who will close their eyes and choose to believe that he did it at night because he didn’t want to upset Liberals and suffer the bad press. You people, you go right ahead. And if you want to believe the fairy tale that all of the people fired ‘deserved’ it, well, go right ahead and believe that, too. No one’s going to stop you from living your fantasy life. I, for one, am not going to argue with you. Debating someone who refuses to see the world as it is is impossible.
47 has normalized bizarre. His actions have been so consistently unbelievable and shocking that he’s ground down all emotions. People wait for the headlines to read of the next irreverent act and then argue over social media in a lackluster haze about how good or bad it is.
The truth is, most people don’t really care what happens next. The ‘regular Joe’ is tired of the fight and only wants their life to return to normal – whatever that is anymore.
And that’s exactly how Hitler took over before WWII.
