SKINNY BLUE DOG

I have to write this before the nation goes topsy-turvy, and no one is allowed to say anything bad about the State without risk of losing their job or going to jail. Oh, wait, too late.

Charlie Kirk was not a nice man. He was not kind. He made no positive contribution to the world (except I’ll save some hope for his kid). He encouraged and inspired hate for gain.

Should Kirk’s death be celebrated? No. Should the death of his hatred and message be celebrated? Absolutely!

I don’t understand why some people are treating this as such a momentous and defining moment in our history. I can’t dictate how people should mourn, but why is his death considered more important than the one in Minnesota? Oh, because she was a ‘waste of time’ (democrat).

Unfortunately, Kirk’s death has caused a hydra effect. Many copycats are stepping into the void left behind, attempting to take up his mantle. And I’m sure some will be as malicious and vindictive as the original. Probably even more so.

In the end, the shooter didn’t silence anyone. Instead, he added fuel to the fire of lies. The truth is getting buried behind misogyny, racism, religion, and conspiracy theories. Buried by voices who believe the world owes them something simply because they exist. If a minority catching a break makes you feel small, then it’s on YOU, not the other guy.

We’re heading into dark times. Soldiers being sent to attack protesters. People losing their jobs because they speak out. Laws being made that hurt underprivileged people, while glorifying a specific group based on age, sex, religion, and skin color. A president turned dictator-bully who doesn’t follow any laws but runs the country like his private piggy bank.

There are so many things that have happened along the way that I didn’t write about, and I should have. I’ll try to do better.

(PS – I tried to get the AI to give me some ideas about a title for this and it wouldn’t. Probably because I was saying nasty things about Kirk. I’ll listen for the sirens.)
